Anyone can learn how to channel Reiki energy and it is really simple to do so, providing you find the right teacher for you.

Is Debi the right teacher for you?

Debi has undergone a voluntary registration process to become a professionally verified Reiki practitioner with the Reiki Council. She is a regulated by the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). Debi is a registered master teacher with The UK Reiki Federation, the largest Reiki professional body in the UK. Her training is in line with the National Occupational Standards for Reiki Training. 

Debi is one of the first teachers in Northern Ireland to be professionally verified by The Reiki Council. The Reiki Council is the leading UK advisory body for Reiki practice and training.

Rocks n Rituals is constantly working with guidance to ensure the best possible training standards for you. 

How often are classes held?

Workshops are provided regularly throughout the year, usually every couple of months – check the events page to find details of the next class.

Are these classes accredited?

Rocks n Rituals is an approved and accredited IPHM training provider. This means that our courses in Reiki, Crystal Healing, Shamanism and Tarot are accredited and you can apply to become a member of the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine body and get discounted insurance if you wish to practice professionally after taking our courses. 

Is refresher training available?

Refresher training can be made available in an online format for you (students are given access to materials for their level). You can also join our free Reiki student group once you learn with us.

The Level 3 training is more comprehensive in nature than Levels 1 and 2 and encompasses the requirement for you to demonstrate your commitment to Reiki by practising, keeping a journal of your practice, meditating and attending Reiki training sessions before you attend for the attunement session. Teaching Reiki is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. In order to do it effectively, you need to have at least 2 years experience of giving Reiki to other people. As a Reiki Master Teacher, you will become the support network and guide for your students. Click here to find out more.

About Debi and Reiki Training

Debi Barr is a Reiki Master Teacher and she has been running Reiki Training Courses for all levels since 2012. Usui Classes are usually held in the Maitri Studio, Belfast and Holy Fire Reiki classes are held online in a live Zoom environment.

There are no special requirements other than a willingness to learn and an open heart and mind. Anyone can learn Reiki! Learning something new can be scary but please take all the time you need to read up about Reiki or contact Debi with any questions you may have.

One of our students, Shauna, who received her Reiki attunements in level 1 and level 2 in 2013 has kindly agreed to allow her comments to be posted to give you an insight as to how Reiki has changed her outlook on life for the better. Since giving this testimonial she has gone on to complete her level 3 Reiki.

  • I first tried Reiki treatments a couple of years ago when I was feeling particularly fed up with life. I can honestly say that it has been a real benefit to me. It has totally changed my outlook on life and this is what prompted me to take the level one training.

    Every treatment tends to produce different results, whether physical, mental or emotional, and sometimes the effects are more obvious than others. However, I have never come away from a treatment without feeling refreshed and like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

    What has really turned my life around is the spiritual aspect of the energy. It sounds like a cliché but I had long lost all faith in conventional religion when Reiki opened up the world of spirituality to me.

    I feel so much happier and calmer now in the knowledge that none of us are alone in the world and that there is definitely something bigger than us out there. However, there is no judgement involved, no prescribed thinking or dogma; each person can take what they want out of their treatments.

    I would say that a lot of my friends and colleagues are still a little cynical or wary of Reiki as they think it sounds a bit too airy fairy. However, when asked, they would definitely say that I cope with life a lot better than I used to, as I am more content and optimistic.

    I reckon there’s nothing to lose, why not give it a chance and try at least one treatment? And the beauty is that if you do feel it’s for you, there’s nothing to stop you becoming a practitioner yourself, even if only for your own use. I really can’t recommend it enough!
