The Story
I never thought my life would change in a single sentence.
But then my boss looked me in the eye and said, “I have to let you go.”
Ten years. Gone. Just like that.
By the time I walked out, the illusion of security had shattered. The belief that doing everything ‘right’ would keep me safe was gone.
That night, sitting alone on the sofa, I realised I’d been living on autopilot for years.
Choosing yourself isn’t a one-off decision, it’s something you do again and again, especially when it feels impossible.
But that night I didn’t feel powerful. I felt terrified. My head was spinning with:
‘How will I pay the bills?’
‘What will happen to my family?’
‘Who am I without this job?’
When I told my husband about my redundancy, his only response was: “What are you going to do about it?” Not “We’ll figure it out together.” Not “I believe in you.” Just that.
At that moment, I knew my marriage was over.
I knew I’d been giving my power away for years, and I knew no one was coming to save me.
The years that followed weren’t pretty.
I’d been building walls since I lost my dad at 14. Add to that a strict Christian upbringing where I was taught to fear eternal damnation, and you get a recipe for someone who’s spent decades hiding behind responsibility, numbness, and ‘being sensible’.
Healing didn’t feel like healing; it felt like grief, rage, and tearing down everything I thought I knew about myself.
So I started searching.
Crystal Healing. Aromatherapy. Reflexology. Wicca.
And then Reiki found me.
At first, it was just another tool. But Reiki dismantled me and eroded my walls. It unearthed the grief I’d buried so deep I’d forgotten how to feel.
By the time I became a Reiki Master in 2012, the walls had come down. The grief was raw, and my truth was undeniable.
The Turning Point
That was when everything shifted.
I learned that power isn’t control or certainty; it’s trusting yourself when you can’t see the outcome. It’s choosing yourself even when it terrifies you. It’s reclaiming your energy, your alignment, and your soul.
And that’s exactly what I did.
I built a life and business on my terms, with no boss, no limits, and no waiting for permission.
For over 15 years now, I’ve been guiding powerful humans to do the same through my Sacred Spiral™ framework, helping them master their energy so they can shift their reality.
