Inner Strength for Balance

Inner Strength for Balance

This week I have drawn upon the Tarot of the Old Path once again. The cards indicate a need to rely on your inner strength for balance. To balance your successful achievements with your nurturing side. The three cards work together to ask you to look at where some attention may be needed in your life.

A quick look behind the scenes

Before we dive in, let me take a moment to share what has been going on behind the scenes at Rocks n Rituals. Over the last few weekends, I have been completing some emergency response first aid training. It culminated yesterday with my successful passing of FREC3 training plus medical gases and first aid at work certification.

As many of you know I volunteer as emergency ambulance crew with St John Ambulance. This training was external to St John and I undertook it to allow me to gain external certification. As a first aid trainer it is important that I am always fully certified with recognised qualifications.

Autumn/Winter Schedule

Also, I am preparing for the Autumn/Winter schedule of events with Rocks n Rituals. Tarot classes, Shamanic Practitioner Training and Reiki classes are all coming up! I can feel my energy rising as I feel September approaching. As I mentioned last week I thrive most in Autumn. I have been putting the final touches to my revamped Tarot course. Are you interested in coming along? Check out the details here. I can’t wait to get started and share ways of connecting with the cards with you.

Next week I embark on a new challenge. I have taken on some part time work to assist with the cost of living increases. This will mean that I have to commit to digging deep to find inner strength for balance. And this leads me to the cards this week and the message they have for you.

Cards from Tarot of the Old Path

Our cards this week are the Six of Rods, Strength and the Queen of Pentacles. They immediately speak to me of finding inner strength for balance. Let’s dive in and learn more.

Six of Rods

This card is all about being recognised for your achievements. Whether that simply means a pat on the back, or a public award. You deserve the recognition. It is time to accept the praise and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

This card also symbolises the fact that mindfulness is key. In order to be successful you need to be able to focus. To focus on one thing at a time. And see it through to completion.

Focus is Key

It is so easy to be distracted. Easy to go off on a tangeant and forget why you are doing something. I experience this all the time! Because I have so many different interests, I often find myself scattered. This is when you need to recognise that you are off track. And gently restore your focus back to one thing at a time. So you can finish that project, or achieve the goal. Then you need to learn to accept the public recognition for it. Don’t shy away from your success.

Sometimes when we work hard for something and then get it, we then begin to worry. What if I am not good enough? Am I a fraud? Imposter syndrome creeps in. You begin to think you can’t do it. Or that the recognition you are getting is unwarranted. Let me stop you right there.

You are worthy

You are worthy AND good enough! This card reminds you that through hard work, determination and focus, you have stepped closer to your goal. You may not be completely at the end of your journey, after all this is only the Six of Rods, but you are worthy of accepting praise. Enjoy it. Thank those who helped you. Take time to remember why you embarked on this path in the first place. And then continue on, allowing your skills to move you forward.

Strength

The Strength card in this deck depicts a naked woman on the back of lion. She has subdued the ferocious beast with her inner calmness and quiet power. This is a reminder that strength doesn’t have to be aggressive. You don’t need to shout to exert your will. In fact, some of the most powerful periods in your life, come from quiet inner strength.

This card reminds you once again to stand in your own power. To recognise your light. You can do anything you set your mind to.Even when it gets rough!

The world feels like a difficult place sometimes. Particularly with the climate chaos, political upheaval, financial difficulties and unrest in the world just now. It is easy to fall prey to hopelessness and fear. The media often promote negativity and fear. Don’t buy into it.

Shine your Light

You can shine your inner light brightly for all to see. Change in the world starts with you. It starts with me. Each of us has a duty and responsibility to be the change we want to see in the world. By acting with quiet inner power and kindness, you can make a difference.

Energetically your inner strength will radiate outwards. Bringing comfort to those who need it. Helping others feel confident to shine their light. Speaking your truth helps others find their voice. Acting with integrity – doing the right thing even when nobody is looking – makes the difference.

Dig Deep

This card reminds us of all these things. When times are tough, draw upon your inner strength. Dig deep if you have to but it is there. Reach out to friends for help when you need it. Speak to your family or to a professional if needed. Do the things that you know feed your soul.

Take some time each day to connect with yourself. Even for 5 minutes, just sit and breathe. Connect with your inner strength. Set intentions for your day and then move forward with purpose. You can do this. One step at a time – you don’t need to do it all at once.

The Queen of Pentacles

Our cards end this week with the Queen of Pentacles. This woman is the typical working mother. Nurturing her family at home, providing a stable environment with love and nourishment. Working to provide financial stability and to keep her family safe and secure. This is the essence of this card.

This Queen represents financial stability and abundance. Earthy energy – security and stability in the material realm. Love, kindness and compassion. Taking time to allow things to mature. Being emotionally available. Nurturing others and herself.

She knows how to find the balance between providing for others and herself. She has the necessary inner strength for balance. There is no hiding her abilities. She is proud of what she has achieved (recall the Six of Wands). However she knows that she often needs to dig deep in order to survive. Her inner strength and ability for self care gives her the energy to look after others. So that all thrive in her environment, and the abundance is shared.

Summary

Do you need to find the balance? Is it all work and no play just now? Or are you allowing worries to surface and cause you anxiety? Perhaps you need to take some time out. To recognise your achievements. Think about all the good things you have in life. Be grateful and list your blessings.

What makes your heart sing? Do more of that. Feed your Soul and that feeds your inner strength. Take an honest look at your life and see which areas need attention. Then commit to making some small changes to help you find that balance.

I hope these cards have resonated in some way with you. Remember you can catch the video reading on YouTube or listen to the pod on Soundcloud later today. As always thank you for reading and sharing this content. I’ll see you all again next week!
